My name is Federico Mazzei and I'm from Calabria in the south of Italy.

I have a passion for design and I'm attracted by the energy of real stone.

I've visited many stone markets and acquired rubies, sapphires and emeralds in Sri Lanka, Colombia and India.

I think it's important to help people harness the therapeutic properties of stone for health and prosperity.

The jewellery I'm creating now is inspired by the colours and shapes in nature and human culture. I love the bustle of free markets and the stillness of the desert, the flow of the river and the quiet of the temple.

When travelling I absorb the colours and the architecture, the gestures of the people, the way they walk and talk and interact with one another, and this gives me ideas. The designs which result are like a meeting of east and west.
